Alfred Coffee Melrose Place

West Hollywood

Inspired by Alfred Coffee at 8428 Melrose Pl, Los Angeles

Nestled on the iconic Melrose Place in West Hollywood, Alfred Coffee is a haven for coffee aficionados and trendsetters alike. With its chic and stylish interior design, modern furnishings, and Instagram-worthy floral arrangements, Alfred Coffee is more than just a coffee shop—it's an experience.

This building, along with many others on Melrose places, happens to be an excellent example of the Hollywood Regency style popularized by esteemed architect John Elgin Woolf. Known for his glamorous and opulent designs, Woolf's architectural creations became synonymous with the glitz and allure of Old Hollywood. The Hollywood Regency style, inspired by the Golden Age of cinema, emphasized luxury, elegance, and a sense of theatricality. Woolf incorporated grandiose elements like high ceilings, ornate moldings, and dramatic staircases into his designs, while also embracing modern conveniences and open floor plans. His interiors featured lavish touches such as mirrored walls, plush upholstery, and a harmonious blend of bold colors and metallic accents.
